klew

I'm Katie, Kathleen, klew. Whichever you please.

I'm 27. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Journalism degree. I literally went to school to be a grammar snob.

When I'm not working at my day job in the Marketing Department at a Construction firm, I'm a cheerleading coach. I was an all-star cheerleader for 10 years, and now I've found I love coaching just as much as I loved being an athlete. Cheerleading has just always done something special for me. You know how they tell you if you like the work you do you won't work a day in your life? Yeah. Being a Coach.

THINGS I LIKE: the color blue, cookies, Cinderella, New York City, my nickname and the fact that is has stuck since age 13, cheerleading, The University of Kansas, pictures of puppies on their birthdays, beautiful gowns,  Broadway Musicals (specifically Newsies, Cinderella, Something Rotten), being a pizza snob, awesome writing, TGIT, Dancing with the Stars, One Direction, all the Social Media, sweet tea, painting, my handwriting, The Office, awesome female comediennes (Amy, Tina, Mindy), my friends, how brilliant my friends are, the fact that I just get to soak in that brilliance always, sharks, Disney, traveling, adventures, wearing leggings as pants, fairytales, kindness

THINGS I WANT: To write a blog where I just go stay in all the hotels in the world and report on the quality of bubblebath you can get from their bathtubs, a penthouse in New York City with huge Monet prints on the walls and a rooftop garden and a blue piano, to live my life wearing a blue ballgown, to continue to be able to be moved to tears on a regular basis when things are truly beautiful

THINGS THAT SHOULDN'T BE: any ketchup that's not regular Heinz.

IF I WON THE LOTTERY: The penthouse and the piano, and a million adventures with my pals. Also I'd open my own Wedding Gown shop so I could be a professional fairy godmother

This is my blog where I'm going to write about whatever I want. I love to write so I just figured, why the hell not. I'm not writing to gain a zillion followers or to make my posts go viral (though that would be amazing), I'm writing for my own satisfaction. Because I believe it's fine to do things simply because you want to. I also think that someday Mindy Kaling is going to stumble across this blog and read every entry, deem me brilliant, and invite me to come write hilarious television with her. So in order for that to happen, I had to actually start the blog. Baby steps.

I think that's all for right now. I'll add more as I see fit, when I feel like it.
Enjoy!
